Friday, January 25, 2002Talking about .name, I just found in one of my links to the definition of domain name that one of the new domain name suffixes coming out is:
.non for individuals
Well, I don't know about you but I'd rather not be a non-individual!A quick lookup in my WordWeb dictionary and we get:
Adjective: non
1. (prefix) reverse of or absence ofSo if I get
www.doug_bills.non, this seems to me to mean ...??? well, you work it out! Seems like a non-event to me :-|

What's WordWeb?
WordWeb is a neat dictionary and thesaurus I found on the Web. It is free-ware and it is a tiny but powerful program. I have a shortcut to the program on my QuickStart bar. It is so very easy just to click this to look up a word.
So why don't I just use the Microsoft Office dictionary? Well, not all the typing I do is in the Office programs and it is overkill to open up Word just to get the right word. WordWeb is much faster and easier and handier.
